Los Angeles Pacific University (LAPU) announced today that it has once again been named a Top 10 Military Friendly School for 2021-2022, achieving a 2nd place ranking among online universities and vocational colleges. Institutions earning the Military Friendly® School designation were evaluated using both public data sources and responses from a proprietary survey. Over 1,200 schools participated in the 2021-2022 survey with 747 earning designations ranging from Designee, Bronze, Silver, and Gold, to Top 10 Gold.

Criteria include the institution’s ability to meet thresholds for Student Retention, Graduation, Job Placement, Loan Repayment, Persistence (Degree Advancement or Transfer) and Loan Default rates for all students and, specifically, for student veterans.

“We place a high value on providing excellent student services to our student population,” said Frank Rojas, PhD, Executive Vice President of L.A. Pacific University, “…especially to the military-connected students and families who sacrifice so much to serve our nation so well.”

As a fully online university, LAPU is designed to support working adult students, including active duty service members, spouses, and veterans. “They have some very specific needs that are unique to their situation; and it’s our privilege to work to meet those needs,” says Blason Taon, a U.S. Army veteran serving as LAPU’s Military and Veteran Relations Manager.

The full 2021-2022 Military Friendly® Schools list will be published in the May issue of G.I. Jobs magazine and can be found at militaryfriendly.com. Methodology, criteria, and weightings were determined by Viqtory with input from the Military Friendly® Advisory Council of independent leaders in the higher education and military recruitment community. Final ratings were determined by combining the institution’s survey response set and government/agency public data sources,  within a logic based scoring assessment.
