Azusa Pacific University Names New President
As part of the Azusa Pacific University System, the leadership, staff, and faculty of Los Angeles Pacific University join the Azusa Pacific community in celebrating the announcement of APU’s new president.
Azusa Pacific University’s Board of Trustees today announced Paul Ferguson, Ph.D., as its 17th president. Following a comprehensive 10-month search process led by the 14-member Presidential Search Committee, he received unanimous support. A Southern California native, he is the founding dean of the School of Science, Technology, and Health at Biola University. His leadership experience includes serving as president of Ball State University and the University of Maine. Ferguson is known for driving academic innovation, advancing effectiveness in administrative practices, and building a strong bond with students, faculty, staff, and alumni. He will play an instrumental role in guiding the university into a new era of success.
“We are delighted by the appointment of Dr. Ferguson,” said John Reynolds, president of Los Angeles Pacific University. “As an affiliate of the APU System, we look forward to a productive, collaborative relationship that furthers the mission of both universities and the university system.”
